Ewelme Village Preschool accepts the Government’s Nursery Education Grant. This funds 15 hours per week of free early education for 3 and 4 year olds over 38 weeks per year. It begins at the start of the term following your child’s third birthday. It is for not less than 2.5 hours or more than 6 hours in one day. Each term you will be asked to sign a parental declaration stating how many government funded sessions you are claiming for at Ewelme Village Preschool. You will be asked to pay for any additional sessions with an invoice.
If you are entitled to the 30 Government Hours, you will need to fill in the necessary paperwork. These sessions are limited due to the size of the preschool so please inform the manager upon registration and she will try to accommodate you depending on availability of sessions.
Ewelme Preschool is fortunate to have one of the lowest fees for childcare in the local area. November 2016 was the last time that the Preschool fees were reviewed and with the cost of running the Preschool increasing, the Committee have made the difficult decision to increase fees in April 2019 and September 2019 respectively so the following rates apply –
Date Under 3 years 3 years +
01/04/19 £4.75 p/h £4.35 p/h
01/09/19 £4.95 p/h £4.55 p/h
The differentiation in charges are because of the staff ratios required per child. For children who are under 3 years old, the ratio is 1:4 whereas children who are 3 years +, the ratio is 1:8.
A morning session is 9.15am-12.15pm
A full day session is 9.15am–2.45pm
