Records of Achievement

We assess how young children are learning and developing by observing them frequently. We use information that we gain from observations, photographs and videos of the children to document their progress and where this might be leading them. We complete periodic assessment summaries in the child’s record of achievement folder “Learning Journal” which parents are allowed to access at any time; please ask your child’s key person. This sharing of information between parents and practitioners enables us to celebrate your child’s achievements and to work together to provide what your child needs for his/her well-being and to make progress.

When a child moves onto primary school an Early Years Foundation Stage Profile is completed and sent to their primary school, so that their Key Stage One teacher is able to plan lessons to suit your child’s abilities and needs.

The Week Ahead

Monday 23rd- Friday 27th May 2022

This term’s topic is Kings & Queens. This week we are celebrating our very own Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 year reign on the throne.  We will rejoice in her Platinum Jubilee! All the children in preschool will receive a commemorative mug which has been made possible because of the generous donation from the Ewelme Almshouse Charity to the Ewelme Parish Council. If you would like to thank them directly, their details are: Mr James Oliver, Trust Manager, 6 King Edward Street, Oxford OX1 4JL.

What Parents Are Saying

My daughter loves preschool, her only complaint is that it’s closed for holidays and weekends! She has really come on leaps and bounds since starting.  Lynsey Stanford
