Ewelme Village Preschool has a set of policies and procedures that is reviewed regularly by the management committee and staff. The policies and procedures are available for review by parents and carers in the Policies and Procedures Manual at the preschool . If you wish to see a copy please let us know.
Please note:
Illness & Accidents
If your child is unwell and will not be attending preschool, please let a member of the Preschool Staff know. You can refer to the links below for guidance on when to keep your child at home. Parents must notify the preschool if their child has an infectious illness. Please remember that if your child has had sickness or diarrhoea, they need to be kept off for 48hrs to prevent it spreading. For any unexplained rashes or ailments, it is advised to get them checked with your GP first, before sending them into preschool. Staff at preschool can administer medicine, with written permission detailing the timing and dosage for each occasion. Please ask for more information on our Medicine Policy.

Photography
Our policies state that no mobile phones are to be used in the preschool room by parents or visitors. Anyone taking photographs of their child at a preschool event must not publish these images (including on social networking sites) if the image includes another child, without seeking the other parents’ permission. This is a serious breach of safeguarding.
Collecting Children
If anyone other than a parent or authorised carer is collecting your child, you MUST ensure that a member of staff is informed in advance, you will then have to sign the Child Collection Record. The collecting adult will then be asked to sign the record. We will NOT allow your child to be collected by someone unfamiliar to us without prior notice.
